What is a wallet address?

A Monero wallet address is a string of numbers and letters representative of one personal Monero wallet “account”. It is held, run and operated by you rather than a banking institution. If you wanted to receive Monero from someone or from a service, this is the series of numbers and letters you would give them for them to be able to send you Monero. How do I get a Monero wallet?
