To download the Monero desktop wallet for windows, click on the download link in the previous blog post then click on the Mac OS X 64-bit Installer.

Once you have downloaded the program, you should have the Monero wallet shortcut added to your desktop. Open it up and you’ll see this screen:

If you click on “simple” mode, you will have to understand that you are not doing what is best for your privacy, and that if you do want to be more private you should use the advanced mode and download/run your own node. But that is an advanced feature so for now, if you do not want to take the extra time to learn then click “simple mode” and you will be taken to this screen:

Once you click that you understand the privacy implications of using a third-party server, you will be sent to this page:

Click on the Create a new wallet button

When you click on the create new wallet button, you will see this. This is the mnemonic seed. YOU HAVE TO COPY AND PASTE THIS DOWN SOMEWHERE AND KEEP IT SAFE. With this, you will be able to regenerate your wallet if you change PC’s or forget your wallet password. The thing is, someone else could also regenerate your wallet if they have access to your mnemonic seed. So write it down, keep it private and safe. When you’re your own bank, you also have to be responsible for your own security.

To get your Wallet address, click on the “account tab” then click on the “copy to clipboard” button

And now your wallet address is copied to your clipboard, so go on back to your Myriade account and paste it into the wallet address tab
